My work references (amongst other things) mythological animals and their inherent symbolism.

For example, the bull symbolizes power/aggression; the horse has associations with sexuality/freedom but also obedience and restraint (man's domination over nature).

For me the image of the minotaur invites stories and provokes curiosity. I wonder:

Is the man blighted and frustrated by the head of a bull or is it the reverse that the bull is gifted with unfamiliar but civilizing sensibility due to its fusion with the human....?

The underlying ideas present are concerned with duality:

   power/weakness, freedom & liberation/control and restraint.
