 Throughout her career Sandra Blow has always been aware of other possibilities in the forms and pictorial structures that interest her, and has many times carried them through successfully.She sees this exhibition as experimental in the use of grids and lines combined with larger colour forms. Her works are shown in two parts. There are works with coloured surrounds and the same works without coloured surrounds: it is of interest to see how the artist¹s mind works. Although both may be (as she hints) transient, the works are valid through evidence of her usual stringent selection of structure in their application. Sandra has likened this to going on a journey, and on passing seeing a place of great interest, to which one wants to return and explore. |
