"In response to some major changes and events in my life this summer, I have produced a body of work entitled 'Finding and Loosing'.
Through these paintings I have been looking at my identity and the transitory nature of life.
The imagery is a fusion of allegorical representation and self portraiture.
Solitary women in costume are presented engaging very particularly with the viewer, making a connection between them and my ambiguous perception of reality.
My paintings are about people and animals I have an affinity with, often invested with my own psycho / physical qualities.
Narrative is continuous and interwoven, subjects are often solitary, quietly strong.
The environment has stimulated many interests, the mystery of the place, the memory, to record it and look at the painting gives me the opportunity to revisit the moment.
I live in two worlds."
