Jane Scott first showed at Badcock's 2 years ago in a hugely successful joint show, with her good friend the artist Rose Hilton. We are delighted to welcome her back.
As well as her energetic and explosive paintings of the sea she will also be showing her nudes and life-studies, another area of her work which she has been developing.
Jane says of her work.. "I am aware that life in west Penwith is surrounded by strong elemental energy, which I try to incorporate into my paintings. The unceasing challenge to work towards that moment when a painting takes on its own life and dictates its own path, is the main spring of my work."
Her painting philosophy is summed up by T.S.Eliot in his poem East Coker..."We must be still and still moving into another intensity.
