"Throughout each stage of the creation of these pieces, objects are added, taken away or altered whilst the essence of every mark made on the canvass is held within the layers of the pieces as a finished whole. An underlying history is built into the finished piece"

"The figures silently and secretively whisper, maybe about the very fine strings tied between or inside oneself. They come from a landscape inside, formed by very personal unspecific memories and feelings of being nowhere, everywhere and usually in the middle of something.
"These things are understood and felt and my work rises from this inner fragile landscape with poetic essences of life all mingled together and yet very strong."
