"I am passionate about the poetry and chance of the people of indigenous cultures which explores our human-ness, how we are part of the Earth, the raw, tender parts of our lives, the magic power we hold in our hands.

"Western classical music provides a foil for this, but the same nobility and passion is there. I play music all the time in my studio, espescially Bach, Schubert and Mahler."

"I find it very difficult to explain my work in words. The paintings come from a deep place and I think they make an emotional sense when the viewer can allow them to touch that same place in themselves.

This is an autobiographical element, but it is spontaneous, surfaces when it is ready, not at my bidding.
