Artist's Statement:
Ballinger thinks, ‘There is a need to push the boundaries still further with my art, to make that step into the dark.’ Forever experimenting with ideas, recently Ballinger’s work has become increasingly abstract and he is applying tiny scraps of paper or paint onto his objects. Frequently, a symbolic ‘X’ appears, a literal crossing out. Much sought after in London and the USA, Ballinger’s work is fascinating, upbeat and modern.
