Gavin Turk was famously denied his MA by the Royal College of Art when his final year piece consisited of an empty studio hung with just a blue heritage plaque bearing the inscription 'Gavin Turk worked here'. He has been wittingly playing with ideas of originality and celebrity in art ever since. It is this exploration that makes him one of the most original young British artists.
