It is with great sadness that we open this show without Terry, who passed away at the beginning of the month. His loss shall be felt, not only by the art world but also by his local community.
Terry was a luminous character, a much loved, adopted son of Newlyn and a huge personality in the international art scene as well as here in Cornwall.
It is typical of him to have kept working right up to end and to have wished for ‘the show to go on’ so to speak and we are immensely grateful to the Frost family for assisting us with this exhibition.
